  • Everyone likes to be at conferences and witness presentations face to face. However with increasing travel costs and time restraints it is more difficult for people to be involved in such activities. This is where online live streaming of conferences and presentations could be highly beneficial. It increases the possible scope of the prenters audience and allows people with low time availability to tune in to specific areas of interest. Stay tuned for the Burnett Mary Showcase to feature a live feed of project presentations!
  • I think the agriculture industry is ripe for a revolution in the way it does business with social media. To me, it just seems so obvious! Recently I hosted a tele-seminar/podcast through my website: www.aggielance.com, you can download it at www.aggielance.com/teleseminar.aspx. We focused on the use of social media in the agriculture industry. Now the content was okay - but the response about the idea of using social media in agriculture today was astounding. With relatively little promotion, we received well over 400 hits to the site in a matter of a few days.
We need to find a way to work together! Cheers!
  • Hey Mark, thanks for dropping by, I am listening to you podcast right now. Congrats on the response, that is fantastic. I am sure there is an opportunity for us to work together. Let's say in touch.
  • Not sure if we can save the planet. At IAALD, we've been experimenting and tracking and encouraging web 2 and aginfo. To get the communities more engaged, to better communicate, to make info more accessible. blog at http://iaald.blogspot.com / see also stuff on slideshare and blip.tv. we covered our recent congress with the tag 'aginfo8' - also on delicious.
